Lion Yearbook Staffers Victoria Nowell, Elyssa Trujillo and Sydney Knaack for placed third in the Lone Start Writing Contest. The students placed for their article about CCCCSD’s Telemedicine Program that was published in The Ozona Stockman in October 2020.

COVID-19 vaccine locations, amounts can be found online

Texas residents seeking to get a COVID-19 vaccine can look at the Texas Departments of State Health Services website for locations and availability. The website, dshs.texas.gov/coronavirus/immunize/vaccine.aspx, states to contact providers in advance to confirm location and hours, that they have the vaccine on hand, and that the person is eligible for vaccination at that site.

New Congressman takes oath

CONGRESSMAN TONY GONZALES, R-San Antonio, was sworn in as the U.S. Representative for the 23rd Congressional District of Texas on Jan. 3. “My life is proof that the American dream is alive and well in this great country. It is with a heavy heart that we acknowledge the loss one of our Crockett County Senior Center board members. JoAnn Babbitt was a long, time supporter of Crockett County Senior Center. She loved playing bridge, bingo, Mexican Train Dominoes, and Canasta with her many friends at the center.
