OMS Cross-Country: Eighth Grade Lions, Seventh Grade Lady Lions District Champions

THE OZONA MIDDLE SCHOOL EIGHTH GRADE BOY’S CROSS COUNTRY TEAM won the district championship on Oct. 15 in Ozona. Team members are: (l. to r.) Gavin Grannis, Christian Yruegas, Ryan Pena, Roman Esparza and Danny Posadas.
The OMS Cross-Country Teams competed in a wet and soggy District Meet on Oct. 15 in Ozona. The Eighth Grade Lions won the District Championship over Irion County, Iraan, McCamey, Eldorado and Van Horn.

LION STADIUM - The Ozona Lions rolled to a Homecoming Victory, 56-15, over the Center Point Pirates Friday night. "Friday was a great game for us to open district. The new wrinkles and game plan we had been working on for two weeks definitely paid off and has given some new looks other teams will have to prepare for in the future," said Coach Edward Perez.

OMS Lions sink Pirates

The Ozona Middle School Lions got their first victory of the season defeating the Center Point Pirates 32-12 last week. The Lions would get on the scoreboard first, and it would be the defense that would get things rolling.

OHS Cross-Country: Lady Lions third, Lions fourth at Lamesa

THE OHS LADY LIONS PLACED THIRD IN THE LAMESA CROSS COUNTRY MEET ON OCT. 12.
The Ozona Lions and Lady Lions competed in the Romp in the Park Saturday at Lamesa. The Lady Lions were third tying state-ranked top team Sundown. Top runner for the Lady Lions was Daisy Guerra, finishing third at 13 minutes, 17 seconds. McKenna Moses was fourth at 13:20 and Madison Childress 10th at 13:33.
