Jack Edwin Vaughan

Jack Edwin Vaughan, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 18, 2018 in San Angelo, Texas. A lifetime San Angeloan Jack was born in San Angelo to Isabel Vaughan and Rudy Vaughan on November 7, 1930. He attended public school in San Angelo and Texas Tech University. He owned and operated Vaughan Brothers Wool Warehouse in San Angelo and other locations and operated the Vaughan Ranch in Crockett County Texas. He was a very astute domino player and played many years with dear friends at San Angelo Country Club. On July 6, 1959 Jack married the love of his life Mary Ann Jennings and over the next three years they had two sons; Ross and Grant. Jack Vaughan is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann.

Joe Garcia

Joe Garcia, 70 passed away and went to live eternal life with our heavenly father on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Joe was preceded in death by his parents Evodio and Theresa Garcia and his daughter Anna Lisa Gregory. He is survived by his son, Jose Emilio Garcia, and daughter, Devina Garcia. He had two sisters, Leticia Galindo and Sylvia Campa, and one brother, Noe Garcia. He had 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services were held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The burial followed at Lima Cemetery. He will be missed by all but we will see him again.

Amador Beltran Jr., 56, died Aug. 21 in San Angelo. Funeral services were Thursday, Aug. 23, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with burial following in Lima Cemetery. Stanley P. Najar Jr.

Stanley P. Najar Jr. was born in Ozona, Texas on September 18, 1942. He went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2018 in the comfort of his own home. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Patsy Najar and his wife, Mary R. Najar.

Survivors include his Father, Stanley Najar Sr. of Ozona, his sister Aurora P. Najar of Ozona, two sons, Stan Najar III of Ozona, Rodney and Haley Najar of San Antonio, three daughters, Mylene Najar and Jim Kaiser of Watauga, Texas, Marisa Najar of Ozona, and Dawn Hanson of Austin, one grandson, Stanton Najar and Lindsey Gallegos of Okatie, S.C., two granddaughters, Lauren Najar and Eli Treto of Ozona, Chelsey Najar of San Antonio, seven great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly, Inesia Najar, Ceigan Najar, Alex Najar, Sienna Najar, Adelina Najar, Navaya Najar, all of Okatie, S.C. and Anaya Treto of Ozona.

Manley Lewis Holmes

SHEFFIELD, TX - Manley Lewis Holmes, known to his friends as “Buddy”, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 13, 2018, at the age of 77. Manley was born on May 24, 1941, in Iraan, Texas to local ranchers, Millard Merrell (Tom) and Kathleen Winona Holmes. On February 9, 1970, Manley married the love of his life, Julia Mae Brazee. Together, they shared 48 wonderful years of friendship and marriage. In 1964, Manley enlisted in the Texas Army National Guard and served honorably as a medical corpsman until 1970. After that, Manley served 40 years in the education field, teaching, coaching and as principal, impacting the lives of many children, primarily in Sanderson and Ozona. Manley loved the Lord, and enjoyed his ranching activities on the Pecos River. He also loved 4-H, FFA, and BSA youth organizations, cooking authentically on his 100 year old chuckwagon, and cowboy and western swing music.

Adwin Bryson “A.B.” Williamson 84, of Odessa, died at his residence Monday, July 9, 2018 in Odessa, Texas. He was born Wednesday, December 20, 1933 to the late Marian Brison Williamson Jr. and Martha Ola Huggins in Wise County, Texas. Survivors are: Those left to cherish his love and memory are his son: Willie Adwin Eric Williamson and wife Mary Helen; daughters: Sheila Belknap and husband David, and Patricia Bradford; grandchildren: Jenny Tilghman and husband Jimmy, Cheyenne Bradford, Sierra Bradford, Diane Allsup and husband Alva, Morgan Belknap and wife Brook, and Eric Hendley; and eleven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helen Parker Williamson, and parents. Funeral Services were held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at American Heritage Cemetery in Midland County. William Terry Lindsey, born December 15, 1950, went to his Lord and Savior on June 11, 2018, at the age of 67 after a courageous battle with injuries due to an accident. Graveside services were held Friday, June 15, 2018, at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Ozona. Arrangements by Kerbow Funeral Home. He was born to Bill and Lucille Lindsey in Eunice, New Mexico. He is survived by his sisters, Delores Hobson, of Odessa, Elaine Berry and husband Earl, of San Angelo, Jerry Betty and husband Hal, of New Mexico, his loving wife, Debra W. Lindsey, of Ozona, his children, Becky Garcia, and Mack Lindsey, of San Angelo, Stephannie King, and son, Leland Wellman, of Ozona, numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He graduated from Ozona High School and later San Angelo State University. Terry worked in the oil and gas industry all his life. When he was young he followed his daddy everywhere on the leases. Lee Chipman DeHoyos

Lee Chipman DeHoyos, age of 94 years, of Kilgore, Texas passed peacefully in the early morning hours of June 5, 2018. Lee was born in Ozona, Texas on December 17, 1923, to George and Anita Chipman who preceded her in death. She was married to Carlos DeHoyos who preceded her in death in 1983. Lee was a strong, vibrant woman and a devout Catholic and faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Ozona for many years before moving to Kilgore, Texas. There she found a church home for the past 13 years at Christ The King Catholic Church. Lee loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren spent many summers at her home in Ozona when they were young. Later she would often spend extended periods of time visiting her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren wherever they lived. She enjoyed crocheting and made sure each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren received a handmade afghan from her in their school colors for graduation.
