Deborah Hardgrave Collins

Deb, as known by family and friend, passed from this world May 12, 2019, on Mother’s Day.

Deb was born into this life on October 17, 1950 to parents John and Billie Hardgrave. Deb fought a lengthy battle with cancer, however, never wavered in her belief in God and her continuous giving nature to both family and friends.

Deb was preceded in death by parents John and Billie Hardgrave and sister Charlene Negley.

Herberto Hoyos Perez

Heberto Hoyos Perez died May 11, 2019. Funeral services were Tuesday, May 14, at OLPH Catholic Church with burial following in Lima Cemetery. He was born Nov. 15, 1931 in Tyler, Texas, the son of Jose Maria and Barbara Hoyos Perez. He was employed as a ranch foreman. He is survived by his daughters, Alma Etheridge of Corpus, Bertha Rivera of Ozona and Connie Robledo of San Angelo, sons Robert, Manuel and Javier of Ozona and Ruben of Corpus.

David Giles Madray

David Giles Madray died in his sleep April 23, 2019, at his home in Houston, Texas. He was born June 8, 1969, in Dallas, Texas, to Giles and Becky Davidson Madray. He attended elementary school in Dallas and Shreveport, LA., and Middle and High School in Houston, where he was a band kid, graduating from Memorial High School. David was a member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church where he was active in the Singles Ministry, taught Sunday School and Bible studies, and sang in the choir.

David was a sports fan, enjoying all the Houston teams and proud of the Astros winning or losing. He loved clothes all his life and was a neat freak, like his mother. He almost made his 50th birthday and was excited to be approved to adopt the puppy he had longed for. His name was to be King Edward.

Iva Pauline Bentley

Iva Pauline Bentley was born in Baird, Texas on May 22, 1945. She passed away on April 2, 2019. Pauline was a native of Ozona and graduated from high school here in 1963. She played basketball, was on the annual staff, played trumpet in the band. She was on the soil conservation team. Her class as freshman were the first girls that got to wear jeans to school.

After high school she graduated from the university in El Paso with a degree in physical education. She was a member of ZTA society. She taught PE in Uvalde and went to Center Point where she was the head girls basketball and track coach. She worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance where she taught anatomy.

On August 31, 1978 she married Jack Bentley. They have lived here in Ozona ever since.

Ramon Fierro Sanchez

Ramon Fierro Sanchez passed away March 20 at Crockett County Care Center.

He was born in Ozona on June 2, 1946.

He is survived by his wife, Ana. They enjoyed over 50 years of marriage, love and devotion. His son, Mark (Abilene) and his daughter, Maria (San Antonio) carry on his spirit. He had three beautiful granddaughters: Brianna Lara (San Antonio), Hanna and Katheryn Sanchez (Abilene) and one grandson, Christopher Lara, of Ozona, and wife Thelma. He also enjoyed the love of two great grandchildren, Nathaniel and Lilliana Lara in San Angelo.

Left to grieve are his sisters Rosario Sanchez, of Ozona, Nelly Gibson of Keller, Texas and brothers Richard Sanchez of Keller and Carlos Sanchez of Arlington.

He also left behind his stepmother, Lucia Sanchez, who resided with him at Crockett County Care Center.

Ramon also leaves behind his special family friend, Robert Fierro and his family from San Angelo.

Ramon F. Sanchez

DEATH NOTICES

Ramon F. Sanchez died March 20, 2019. Funeral services were Friday, March 22, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with burial following at Lima Cemetery. Arrangements by Kerbow Funeral Home.

He was born June 2, 1942 in Ozona. He was a loader/operator for the county. He married Anna Fierro on Dec. 24, 1968 in Ozona. He was a member of the Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife Anna of Ozona, daughter Maria T. Lara of San Antonio, son Mark Sanchez of Abilene, sisters Nellie Sanchez of Keller and Rosario Sanchez of Ozona, brothers Carlos of Arlington and Richard of Southlake, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Gilbert Cadengo Limon

Gilbert Cadengo Limon was born December 23, 1939 in Mexico. He went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2019.

Graveside services were held Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Lima Cemetery in Ozona. Arrangements by Kerbow Funeral Home.

Gilberto was preceded in death by his parents Hermenejildo and Maria Cadengo Limon, sister Juanita Limon and granddaughter Stephanie Jaclynn Luna.

Left to cherish his memory are daughters Juanita Remedies and husband Dale of Zwolle, La., Edwina Cruz and husband Jay of Grand Prarie, Maribel Limon and husband Sergio of Mansfield, son Gilbert and wife Sarah Limon of Zwolle, grandchildren A.J. Luna, Michelle Limon, Krystal Cruz, Michael Luna and wife Elyssa, B.J. Cruz and special friend Lisa, Daniel Aguilera and wife Jessica, Selena Cruz, Jaycee Limon, Xander Limon and Grayson Limon, great grandchildren Alise Luna, Alex Luna and Dalis Luna, sisters Tina Cruz and Cruz Borrego.

Geneva Lovelle Crawford

Lovelle Crawford, 82, died on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. She was born on August 4, 1936 in Woodward, Texas to Ada and J.O. (Jack) Barnett. She was the oldest of three children.

She attended school in Natalia, Texas; Jal, New Mexico; and then Galveston, Texas. Lovelle met Bill while visiting a cousin who lived in Natalia.

On July 26, 1952, she married Billy West Crawford in Natalia. They raised seven children and were married 67 years. They moved to the Bissett ranch near Ozona in 1968 where her husband, Bill, worked until 1975. Fond memories of times at the ranch have been shared through the years, not only by Bill and Lovelle’s children, but by their friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lovelle welcomed kids into their home whether they were visiting teams competing in sporting events in Ozona, or cousins visiting for a few days in the summer.

Catherine M. CarsonPracticing

Catherine M. Carson passed away in Shannon Hospital after a brief battle with cancer on March 5, 2019.

Cathy was born on January 26, 1947 in Austin.

She is survived by Bill, her loving husband of 50+ years; her daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Greg Lawford and two granddaughters Abbey and Haley; her daughter and son-in-law Haley and Rodney Najar, and granddaughter Chelsey; and her daughter and son-in-law Amanda and Jason Green, and two grandsons Carson and Logan. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Julia and Bruce Rogers; and her brother and sister-in-law Hank and Eva Miller; her mother-in-law, Norma Carson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Bonnie and Buddy Baldridge, along with nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her parents LaVaun and Henry Miller and her father-in-law Bill Carson, Sr.
