Tuesday is the last day to register to vote for the Nov. 6 election

The Texas Secretary of State’s Office is reminding Texas voters that Tuesday, Oct. 9, is the last day people can register to vote for the Nov. 6 General Election.

Crockett County Voters can register at the County Tax Office located in the courthouse annex. For more information, call (325) 392-2674.

OHS Band earns Division I at festival

THE OHS BAND, pictured here performing before Friday night’s game, received a Division I rating at Saturday’s Santa Rita Marching Festival in Big Lake. The band will perform this Saturday at a Pre-UIL Marching Contest in San Angelo.

School board votes to move forward with Guardian Plan

Crockett County CCSD officials are moving forward with intent to implement the Guardian Plan within the district.

At the Sept. 19 regular meeting, the school approved a motion stating that the district will be moving forward on instituting the Guardian Plan. Board Vice President Orlando DeHoyos voted against the motion.

Superintendent Raul Chavarria said the district has been working on implementing the Guardian Plan for about half a year now. The district has taken the necessary steps in consulting with their attorneys to review the legal status of the plan.

Ozona High School is celebrating homecoming this week.

Dress up days are: Wednesday – Twin Day at OHS and OMS; Favorite Color Day at OES Thursday – Sport Day at all campuses.
