Fire chief asks commissioners for new building

BY MELISSA PERNER

The Ozona Volunteer Fire Department is wanting to try for a bond election for a new building.

At Monday’s Commissioners’ Court meeting, Fire Chief Brian Morrow talked to the commissioners about a new fire station. Morrow said the department wants to have a bond election for a new building, due to the fact they have outgrown their current building.

Morrow pointed out all the projects the county has completed, since the fire department asked for a new building six years ago. They include a new jail, wellness center, animal control building and a clinic.

“I want to get in line and get my name on that list,” Morrow said.
