Library offers new programs
With the arrival of the 2023-2024 school year, Crockett County Public Library is offering a new program for school-aged kids.
Beginning Sept. 5, the library will host Take-it-Easy-Tuesdays Lego Club from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. each Tuesday. This after-school program is a time for kids to wind down from the school day, screen-and-electronic-device-free.
Read Learn Grow @CCPL! has resumed as well. This is an educational time for kids ages tiny to 10 on the second and fourth Wednesdays every month at 11 a.m. They have story time, active play and arts and crafts at these fun gatherings.
Crockett County Public Library, Howard College, and CCCCSD will be offering another free GED course in September. A mandatory orientation will be held at the library on Thursday, Sept. 14 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Classes will be held three evenings per week, Monday through Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., beginning Sept. 25 at the school district’s Federal Programs Building (across the street from the DPS office). If interested, call (325)481-8323 to register, or come by the library and pick up a flyer with a QR Code for online registration.
