Officers receive appreciation gifts

Ozona—Judge Tambunga accompanied Rick Hinsley to the DPS office in Ozona to give a gift of appreciation to the DPS officers on Dec. 18.

Rick Hinsley from Ozona is a disabled US Airforce veteran, injured in the line of duty. Hinsley, now retired, said he needed a hobby and decided to hand-make knives and has been making them for eight years with his business, Rockin’ H Knives. Hinsley made two beautiful knives for the DPS officers to show his thanks for all they do for the community.

“I see them all the time, always busy and just wanted to find a way to show them that the community appreciates and cares for them and all they do for us,” Hinsley said.
