UIL releases conference cutoff numbers, Lions barely remain Class 2A Division I

The UIL released its conference cutoff number Tuesday, Dec. 3, giving Texans an idea where high schools will be classified in next year’s realignment.

The numbers provide the range of enrollment for each of the six conferences, including divisional cutoffs for football.

The Ozona Lions nearly had the numbers to move up to 3A turning in an enrollment of 221. The Class 2A enrollment range is 105-229.

In Class 2A Division I, the enrollment range is 165.5-229. According to the UIL, 96 schools in Texas fall into Class 2A Division I.
