Lions speed past Bulldogs

ABILENE WYLIE – The Ozona Lions ended a sevenyear drought winning the Class 2A Division I Bi-District Championship, 45-0, over Alvord Friday.

Ozona (8-3, 3-1) will now face #6 Post Antelopes for the Area Round 7 p.m. Friday in Stanton. Ozona will be the visiting team.

“I’m very happy with how we played Friday. It was a good night for the program. We dominated them on both sides of the ball and executed our game plan well,” said Athletic Director and Head Coach Kyle Freeman.

The Lions had 497 yards of offense on the night, with 362 of it coming on the ground. Ozona averaged nearly 10 yards per carry.
