The Iraan Volunteer Fire Department laid to rest one of their own Saturday.

Albert Raymond Willock, 20, was killed on Nov. 12 in a vehicle accident.

A 2018 graduate of Iraan High School, Willock’s time with the Iraan Volunteer Fire Department was “a dream come true for him,” according to his obituary.

Willock was also employed at RES and was a “valued team member,” the obit stated.

Services were held Saturday, Nov. 16, at the First Baptist Church in Iraan. He was then buried at the Iraan Restland Cemetery.

Several area first responders, including members of the Ozona Volunteer Fire Department, attended and assisted with the funeral services and procession.

At around 5:22 a.m. Willock was on his way to work on U.S. Highway 190, around eight miles from Iraan, when his 2003 Ford F-250 pickup truck hit an icy patch of roadway, according to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
