A car chase through town, down the interstate and then 20 miles down a state highway resulted in an arrest by Crockett County Sheriff’s Deputies on Sept. 19.

Jonathan Daniel Borrego, 33, of Ozona, was arrested for evading arrest in a motor vehicle and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, according to a press release from the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office.

At 3:53 a.m. on Sept. 19, sheriff’s deputies spotted Borrego allegedly driving a black Acura tried to conduct a traffic stop after Borrego allegedly disregarded multiple stop signs in town, the release stated.

Borrego led the deputies east on 15th Street and then eastbound on Interstate-10 to the 372 exit.

Borrego allegedly drove the vehicle on the median in an attempt to lose the deputies and continued south on Taylor Box Road, where a third deputy joined the pursuit, the release stated.
