SONORA – The Ozona Lions opened their season with a 33-13 tough loss to the Sonora Broncos.

“There were some bright spots in the game last night and some spots where it showed we need a lot of improvement. We threw the ball very well last night but at times did not protect the quarterback,” said Head Coach and Athletic Director Kyle Freeman. “Defensively we did not come up with stops at key times and missed a few tackles that we should not have. It was a good game for experience early on and will end up helping us improve as a team as we continue into our season.”
