A consensus of calling for a bond for a new high school was met during the OHS Building Committee Monday night. The amount of $40 million would renovated the existing OHS Auditorium, build a new academic building between the OHS Main and Heritage Building, renovate or rebuild the OHS Main Building and renovate or add to other existing buildings at OHS.

The bond would also be for a girls’ field house, due to a Title IX issue the school district is facing, as well as transportation, maintenance and technology so the district doesn’t have to ask the taxpayers for another small bond for those items.

All of the information will be presented to the CCCCSD School Board at a special meeting Monday, Aug. 12. The board is planning on making a decision whether or not to call for a bond election at Monday’s meeting.
