Edward V. Fierro was called home June 28, 2019 at the age of 48. He was born to Sylvia Vitela Fierro and Federico Fierro on December 26, 1970.

Edward was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He had a love for his family and friends, Star Wars, Star Trek and music and spent many years of his life making friends and working with many talented musicians. Romaldo Cervantez y Estilo band and Grupo Fuerzzo were his favorites. Edward helped many, encouraged all, but believed in and pushed those he loved most.

Edward was proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents Antonio and Sofia Fierro, maternal grandmother Maria “Maruca” Vitela and step-grandmother Maria “Wuela” Hernandez.

Survivors include his mother, Sylvia F. Vitela and stepfather Ray Cadena of San Angelo, his father Federico Fierro and wife Romelia of Ozona, maternal grandfather, Napoleon “Nip” Vitela of Ozona, step grandfather Natividad Hernandez, Sr. of Ozona, brothers: Evan Fierro and fiancee Zoe of San Angelo, Fredrico H. Fierro Jr. of Houston, Robert Quiroz and wife Akiyo of Katy and his sisters: Megan Mabry and family of Midland; Maria Rodriguez and husband Scott of Ballinger and Lupita DeHoyos and husband Adrian, Sr. of Midland. Edward is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews, whom all held a special place in his heart. He is also survived and loved by all his aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 1, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Hilary Ihedioha, with burial following in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Freddy Fierro, Roland De-Hoyos, Dean Fierro, Jesse Fierro Jr., Harvey Fierro, Mikey Savala, Scott Rodriquez and Paul Fierro. Honorary Pallbearers were: Rylee Ramos, Efrain Ramirez, Manny Munoz, Robert Quiroz, Adrian DeHoyos Sr., and Darrell Calderta

Assisting with the service were: Altar Servers Carlie Ramos, John Adrian DeHoyos Jr. and Mykel DeHoyos; Lectors: Oscar Flores and Robert Flores; Offertory Gifts: Gabriella Martinez and Chelsea Martinez and Minister of Communion: Robert Flores.
