McWilliams named Region 15 Principal of the Year

Ozona High School Prinicipal Tamara McWilliams has been named the High School Principal of the Year by the Region 15 Education Service Center in San Angelo.
McWilliams has been a principal for eight years in CCCCSD.
Prior to being the OHS Principal, McWilliams was at Ozona Middle School for six years, three years at Ozona Elementary School and two years she oversaw both OMS and OES campuses.
Prior to that, McWilliams was teacher at OHS for 14 years and OMS for 5 years.  
McWilliams has previously been named Principal of the Year by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals.
She successfully led OMS out of unacceptable ratings and into met standard and receiving a two-star distinction. She also help start the Blended Learning Program this year at OMS and OES, which will expand to OHS this fall.
McWilliams has degrees from Texas A&M University and Sul Ross State University.
Also named Principals of the Year by Region 15 were: Rikke Black, from Lee Middle School in San Angelo and Scott Walter, assistant principal at Lake View High School in San Angelo.
