Myrtle Grimmer Everett passed away October 3 at the age of 98 years, 9 months, in Del Rio, Texas. She was born December 20, 1919 in Del Rio to Walter and Myrtle Grimmer. She married R.J. Everett, of Pandale, where they spent their married life ranching. Their children started school at Pandale. Later, she and the children moved to town during the school year going to the ranch on weekends and summers. While in Ozona, she was active in the First Baptist Church and 4-H Club. She and R.J. were active in the church at Pandale when at home on the ranch. After R.J.’s death, she later moved to Fort Stockton to live with her daughter and husband, Mae and Dewey Campbell. There she was active in Immanuel Baptist and the Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, son-in-law and two grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Mae Campbell, of Fort Stockton, R.J. (Coleen) Everett, of Ozona, Joe (Mina) Everett, of San Angelo, Ladye (Walter) Herrring, of Eagle Pass. Also, 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 8-great-grandchildren. Services were held Monday, October 8, in Fort Stockton with burial in Ozona.
