Lions washed away by Braves

LION STADIUM - The Ozona Lions faced two opponents Friday night: the rain and the Iraan Braves. 

With a wet field and blowing rain the Lions had a hard time keeping up with the Braves, falling 35-15. 

Sebastian De La Cruz started of the game off  on a positive note for the Lions, with an 80-yard touchdown run. Putting the Lions up on the board 7-0. 

It didn't take long for Iraan to answer back, scoring immediately after that.

The Lions would struggle offensively during the game, but their defense put up a fight against the Braves. 

Ozona's second touchdown came at the end of the game on a pass from Marcus Perez to Aiden Fuentes. 

The Lions (0-2) face the Reagan County Owls (1-1) next week. The Owls lost 32-6 Friday against Ballinger in Ballinger. 

Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Big Lake.
