Josefina Torres Dominguez was born on March 20, 1943 in El Canelito Galeana Nuevo Leon. She died June 2, 2018. Her parents were Nicolas Torres and Maria del Socorro Villanueva. Josefina married the love of her life, Jesus Hernandez Dominguez on August 8, 1959. Jesus and Josefina, with their daughters Mague and Frances, permanently moved to the United States in 1963. Refugio and Raquel Zamarripa guided her to Jesus Christ as Savior. She served God as a missionary in different parts of Mexico. She was a loving and dedicated mother who left an example of her unwavering faith until the last days of her life. Josefina supported her husband at all times, including the move to the United States, the purchase of Rancho Dominguez and above all she leaves the example of the importance of serving God with all her heart. She was always ready to support all work in the Lord’s service. She demonstrated the love of God in the work of missionary action to which she dedicated her whole life. Josefina and Jesus were dedicated to taking care of their parents until their death. She is preceded in death by her husband Jesus H. Dominguez, her daughter Margaret D. Philbeck, her siblings Apolonia Dominguez, Ernesto Torres, Maria del Rosario Torres de Puente and Ignacia T. Dominguez. She is survived by her daughter Frances Avila and husband Juan Avila, son-in-law Thomas Philbeck, son Jesus T. Dominguez and wife Janett Dominguez, daughter Leticia Dominguez, siblings Romana Torres, Paula Torres and Martin Torres. Family members, including grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her family in Christ will cherish her in their memory with love. Services were held at New Life Baptist Church June 3, 2018 with burial following in Lima Cemetery. Special thanks to her church family and the community of Ozona for all the thoughts and prayers.
