Mary Hufstedler Sellers died in Amarillo, Texas on December 29, 2017. Mary was born on October 8, 1933, in Abilene, Texas to the parents of Carl and Lorena Mahan. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018, at the Ozona Methodist Church in Ozona, Texas. After graduating from Abilene High School, she attended Trinity University and Sul Ross University where she met her first husband, J.G. Hufstedler. She was a teacher and church secretary for several years in Ozona, Texas. Mary loved to travel, read, watch the Spurs and especially enjoyed visiting good friends in the Pandale, Texas region. She remarried later in life and treasured the time with husband Henry "Hank" Sellers. She lived the last eight years of her life in Amarillo, Texas with her son and daughter-in-law. Survivors include a beloved sister, Linda White and her husband Dave, of San Antonio, Texas; a son, Jay Hufstedler and his wife Kaye Hufstedler; granddaughters, Carlee Anna and Jayme Lynn Hufstedler of Cincinnati, Ohio. I want to personally thank the following people for their excellent care and love for my mother; Kaye Hufstedler and Ossie Green who spent countless hours with Mary; granddaughters Carlee and Jayme; Dr. Merki, who provided first rate medical care; along with nurses/friends Lindsey Davis, Karla Martinez, Natalie Padilla and the amazing staff at BSA Critical Care.
