The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office responded to a wide range of calls for service during the reporting period. 

Activities:

Incident Highlights:

On April 27, deputies responded to multiple calls including a business alarm on 12th Street, theft and a stolen vehicle report on State Highway 163, disturbances and loud music complaints on 11th Street, a suspicious person on Avenue A, and a reckless driver on State Highway 163.

On April 28, deputies responded to motor vehicle crashes on IH-10 and State Highway 163, as well as a criminal trespass report on Mulberry Drive.

On April 29, deputies handled reports of stolen property, reckless driving, business alarms, suspicious vehicles and persons, loud music, and a call regarding possible shots fired on Walnut Drive.

On April 30, deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on IH-10, vandalism and criminal trespass reports, a structure fire on County Road 301 with Fire Department assistance, multiple reckless driver calls, and a loud music complaint.

On May 1, deputies responded to a theft of service on Avenue E, assisted with a vehicle lockout, and handled multiple motor vehicle crashes on IH-10 involving Fire, EMS, and DPS. A welfare concern was also reported on IH-10.

On May 2, deputies responded to a loud music complaint on Mulberry Drive and a disturbance on Santa Anna Street.

On May 3, a deputy assisted a stranded motorist on Avenue E.

Arrests:

During the reporting period, numerous arrests were made on a variety of charges. These included multiple drug-related offenses such as possession of controlled substances and marijuana, failure to appear, driving while intoxicated (third offense or more), assault causing bodily injury to a family member, criminal mischief, and driving with an invalid license.

Several individuals were arraigned and released after posting bond, while others remain in custody following arraignment.

The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office continues to encourage residents to report suspicious activity and remains committed to public safety.
