The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office responded to a variety of calls for service during the week of April 20 through April 26, 2026.

Activities:

Incident Highlights:

On April 20, deputies responded to multiple calls on Avenue E involving a suspicious person and a welfare concern. Additional activity included a motor vehicle crash on IH-10, where EMS also responded, and a report of an abandoned vehicle on Avenue J.

On April 21, deputies addressed several welfare concerns on Avenue H and 14th Street, as well as a suspicious person report on Avenue E and a 911 hang-up call.

On April 22, deputies responded to a hit-and-run incident on IH-10 with no reported injuries. Additional calls included a vehicle fire on IH-10, a disturbance on Avenue E, and a welfare concern on Monterey Street.

On April 23, deputies assisted with a gas leak on Avenue F alongside the Fire Department and NatGas. Additional responses included a 911 hang-up and a grass fire on IH-10, as well as a motor vehicle crash involving multiple agencies. Deputies also responded to a disturbance on Avenue J and a loud music complaint on Avenue F.

On April 24, deputies handled a report of an abandoned vehicle on Avenue J and assisted three motorists with unlocking their vehicles on Rugged Road, Avenue E, and Avenue C.

On April 25, deputies responded to suspicious person reports on Del Rio Street and Sheffield Road, as well as a residential alarm on Pecan Street. Additional responses included a fire and a motor vehicle crash on IH-10, with assistance from EMS and the Fire Department.

Arrests:

During the reporting period, multiple individuals were arrested on various charges. These included possession of marijuana under two ounces, assault causing bodily injury, and assault involving family violence. One individual remains in custody following arraignment on a family violence charge.

Additional arrests included charges of evading arrest or detention, resisting arrest, and failure to identify by providing false information. One individual was also arrested on charges related to possession and manufacture/delivery of controlled substances.

All subjects were arraigned accordingly, with most posting bond and being released.
