Athletes qualify for regional meet

Ozona—Ozona High School track and field athletes competed at the UIL 2A Area 7-8 meet on April 18, with several competitors qualifying for the regional competition.

The girls 4x200-meter relay led the way with a first-place finish. The boys 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams each earned second place, while the boys 4x400 relay team placed fourth. 

Ivan Mata also qualified, finishing fourth in the 800-meter run. 

The regional meet will take place at West Texas A&M University Track & Field Complex in Canyon, May 1-2.
