Ninfa Muñoz
November 13, 2025
Ninfa Muñoz was born on Oct 8, 1941, in Ozona, Texas to Catalina Gonzales Muñoz and Ricardo Muñoz. She passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025 at the age of 84.
The oldest of three sisters, Ninfa was raised in Ozona by her beloved grandmother, Rosa Gonzales, and her uncle, Raul Gonzales. Her early years were filled with family, faith and the strong work ethic that would define her life.
In her early twenties, Ninfa moved to Odessa, Texas where she lived with her uncle Arturo Gonzales and his family. Smart, determined and independent, she supported herself by working at Texas Instruments and later at Levi Stauss as a seamstress. Her dedication and hard work quickly earned her a promotion into the company’s office, where she assisted with payroll and operations. With perseverance and pride, Ninfa purchased her first home in Odessa—a true milestone in her young life.
Still, she dreamed of something more and eventually followed that dream to California in her early thirties. It was there, in San Jose, that she met her lifelong partner, Lupe Aguilar. Ninfa began a successful career with Bank of America, where she rose through the ranks to become a branch manager—an accomplishment that spoke to her intelligence, professionalism, and leadership. Her career later took her to San Diego, where she continued with Bank of America until her retirement after more than 30 years of dedicated service.
Ninfa loved to travel and explore. She and Lupe shared countess adventures across the United States and Mexico. Her visits back to Texas often turned into family outings to Six Flags, while family trips to California brought joy-filled memories at Disneyland and Universal Studios, San Franciso, Tijuana, and the beaches she loved so much.
Ninfa lived her life with grace, strength and an unshakable love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A healthy Crockett County requires great community news.
