Commissioner’s Court approves new roofing
Ozona—Shawn Baxter, emergency management coordinator for the Texas Department of Emergency Management, spoke to commissioners about a disaster readiness class. This class is open to all county officials and community members. Judge Tambunga scheduled the class for Nov. 15 at 9 a.m. to noon. As of the writing of this article, the location remains undetermined.
The court motioned to approve new roofing for the 4H building at for $131,640 and the convention center for $130,485. These costs will be paid out of the roof insurance fund.
The court motioned to approve new roofing of the fire station buildings. The first building will cost $116,760 and the second will cost $42,009. These costs will also be paid out of the roof insurance fund.
