  • A deputy was dispatched to Vetilla Street for a report of a disturbance.
  • A deputy was dispatched to State Highway 163 for a child custody standby.

Oct. 6, 2025

  • A deputy was dispatched to Avenue I for a report of a disturbance.
  • Deputies responded to a minor motor vehicle crash on Loop 466. The Fire Department, EMS, Constable and Game Warden also responded. No injuries were reported.
  • Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 10. Fire, EMS and Constable responded.
  • A deputy assisted a stranded motorist on Interstate 10.
  • A deputy was dispatched to Santa Rosa Street for a report of criminal trespass.
  • A deputy was dispatched to Avenue I for a report of a disturbance.
  • A deputy assisted another stranded motorist on Interstate 10.
  • A deputy was dispatched to Avenue I for a report of a burglary.

  • Deputies were dispatched to Interstate 10 for a report of a suspicious person.
  • Deputies assisted the Fire Department with a structure fire on Pecan Street.
  • A deputy was dispatched to Avenue H for a report of trespassing.
  • A deputy was dispatched to Avenue E for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Arrests

Oct. 6, 2025

Henderson, Shawn, of Barnhart, Texas, was arrested for driving while intoxicated, third or more offense. The subject was arraigned and remains in custody.

Hardy, John Wesley, of Ozona, Texas, was arrested for violation of bond/protective order. The subject was arraigned and remains in custody.

Oct. 10, 2025

Juarez, Christopher Allen, of Lake Jackson, Texas, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and driving while license invalid. The subject was arraigned, made bond, and was released.

Oct. 11, 2025

Savoy, Jeremy David, of Austin, Texas, was arrested for murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The subject was arraigned and remains in custody.

Additional Notes

In addition to daily patrols, deputies continued their school zone safety monitoring, ensuring safe travel for students during morning and afternoon hours. The Sheriff’s Office and the Crockett County Constable’s Office also escorted the Ozona Lions football team to out-of-town games, maintaining a strong presence at community events.

Sheriff’s officials said community awareness and early reporting play an important role in public safety, particularly as the county enters the busy fall season.

Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activity immediately and to remain alert on highways and county roads.
