Incidents

Sept. 15

  • Deputies responded to Avenue D for a minor vehicle accident. No injuries were reported.
  • A deputy assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle on Avenue E.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Avenue O for a disturbance.

Sept. 16

  • A deputy responded to State Highway 163 for a report of harassment.
  • Deputies assisted the Fire Department on Interstate 10 for a reported grass fire. No fire was found.
  • A deputy assisted with a vehicle lockout on 14th Street.

Sept. 17

  • A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle on 1st Street.
  • Deputies responded to a business alarm on Avenue E.
  • A deputy assisted with a vehicle lockout on Avenue C.
  • A deputy was dispatched to Ball Park Avenue for a loud music complaint.

Sept. 18

  • Deputies responded to Willow Drive for a report of an open door.
  • Deputies worked three separate motor vehicle crashes on Interstate 10 and 15th Street. DPS and EMS assisted.
  • A deputy assisted with a vehicle lockout on 11th Street.
  • A deputy responded to Walnut Drive for a suspicious person.

Sept. 19

  • A deputy assisted with a vehicle lockout on Avenue D.

Sept. 20

  • Deputies responded to Loop 466 for a reckless driver.
  • Deputies and the Fire Department responded to State Highway 163 for a vehicle fire.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Piedra Street for a disturbance.
  • A deputy assisted with a vehicle lockout on Santa Rosa Street.
  • A deputy responded to State Highway 163 for an assault report.

Sept. 21

  • Deputies responded to several noise complaints on State Highway 163, Avenue K, Santa Ana Street, and Blas Street.
  • Deputies investigated a suspicious person on County Road 308.
  • Deputies were dispatched to State Highway 163 for a reported theft.
  • A deputy responded to Cenisa Street for a reckless driver.

Arrests

Sept. 15

  • Brandan Sydney Franklin, of Seabrook, TX, was arrested for MTR/Smuggling of Persons Under 18 YOA and MTR/Smuggling of Persons Count 2 11. Subject was arraigned and remains in custody.

Sept. 16

  • Michael Edward Bramblett, of Katy, TX, was arrested for Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury. Subject was arraigned, posted bond, and released.

Sept. 17

  • Kirby Lynn Kirklen, of Ozona, TX, was arrested for Criminal Mischief ≥ $100 < $750. Subject was arraigned, posted bond, and released.

Sept. 18

  • Ayrika Dean Saenz, of Apple Valley, CA, was arrested for Fail to Stop and Render Aid – Collision Involving Injury. Subject was arraigned and remains in custody.

  • Keyshawn Saijohn Merritt, of San Antonio, TX, was arrested on multiple charges including Possession of Marijuana <2 oz, Unlawful Carry of a Weapon, Prohibited Weapon, Unauthorized Use of Vehicle (Travis Co.), Failure to ID – Fugitive Intent to Give False Info (San Patricio Co.), and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon (Travis Co. & San Patricio Co.). Subject was arraigned and remains in custody.

Sept. 19

  • Christopher Martin Menchaca, of Harlingen, TX, was arrested for Abandoning or Endangering a Child, Elderly, or Disabled Individual (Cameron Co.) and Burglary of Habitation (Cameron Co.). Subject was arraigned, posted bond, and released.
